Healthcare can be a complex subject for businesses and individuals alike.

In a 2021 survey by Bend Financial, more than half of the 2,000 respondents described themselves as “completely lost” when it comes to understanding health insurance. When those surveyed were asked to answer 15 questions about healthcare coverage, they averaged 10 correct answers – an outcome the surveyors noted would earn a D on a standard academic grading scale.

What Capital Blue Cross Connect Centers Offer

Fortunately, Capital Blue Cross has a tutoring service of sorts, offering free, one-on-one consultations through its Capital Blue Cross Connect health and wellness centers. The consultations are available to Capital members and non-members alike to help answer questions about individual coverage, Medicare, the Children’s Health Insurance Program, or other healthcare issues.

“We pride ourselves on helping people cut through the confusion and find the best coverage for their needs,” said Michael Crnovic, director of retail services for Capital. “But our focus is not just on helping you understand your options. There’s also value in a face-to-face conversation that can personalize the healthcare experience. That human connection matters.”

"If you’re trying to find the right coverage for you or your family – or you’re simply trying to understand how to use the coverage you already have – we can help."
